We are a small community based swim club situated within the Devonport Naval Base. We currently have a part-time position available for a swim coach / instructor to work with a small team coaching 10-18 year olds and master swimmers.
Swim sessions are flexible with 8 hours offered consisting of 2x 1 hour morning sessions from 6-7am and 2x 3 hour evening session set between 6pm to 9pm. Coached sessions are weekday only.
There is a possibility of increasing these hours in the future.
Ideally you will have experience in teaching a range of levels from school aged squads to adults. Groups are small and we offer attractive remuneration.
You would be required to hold a swim instructor qualification and a current First Aid certificate.
Devonport Swim club is committed to the potential and wellbeing of children. This role is classified as a Children’s Worker role under the Vulnerable Children Act 2014 for this reason and as a requirement of the Navy.
