New Zealand Masters Games Pool and Open Water Swimming– 7th-9th February 2020:
The Dunedin Masters Swimming club will once again be hosting the New Zealand Masters Games pool swimming and open water events over Waitangi Weekend in 2020. Club organisers are Stephen Clarke and Mark Johnson. The pool swimming will be held at Moana Pool on Friday evening and two sessions on Saturday (7th-8th), followed by open water swimming at Vauxhall Yacht Club on Sunday morning (9th). You don’t have to be a “Competition Member”  to enter either event and the open water swimming provides an opportunity to give this increasingly popular sport a go. You’ll need a wetsuit for the open water.

FINA World Masters Championships -Brent Foster

FINA World Masters

At the time of writing, one of our morning coaches Brent Foster is competing in the 2019 FINA World Masters Championships  in Gwangju, South Korea. We’ll update you with his final tally but he is doing very well, having just won an age group gold  medal in the 400 IM with a blistering 5.01 minutes, setting a New Zealand record in the process. Well done Brent!

We don’t teach people to swim, but we do train them to become better swimmers. If you'd like to join the club, please click the button above and indicate what your squad preference is. If there is availability, we'll arrange a time for you to meet the coach at the pool for a trial.
